Lonesome Tom and HOTPLATE RECORDS offer this collection of highly
original songs, recorded live and without overdubbing. He
accompanies himself upon the eight stringed Magnatone Troubador Lap
Steel Guitar, an instrument upon which he is something of a master.
He uses the thing in his own unique way. Tom himself describes
his sound as "country and wetlands", meaning, I guess, a blending of
savage swamp blues and traditional country. Whatever, you'll love
it. The songs range from the sublime to the convulsively funny.
